Millbrook’s Operational Data Store (ODS) extends the traditional role of an ODS into a unique offering from Millbrook.
We have found the needs of
data staging,
data integration,
SOA, and
data conversion are similar. They all need a detail transaction repository where internal and external data is funneled to be a single version of the truth with common context.
This has enabled us to design and build an extended ODS whose costs can be leveraged for these multiple purposes. This saves you time, cost, and risk both now and in the future. Our ODS is truly the focal point for data and the cornerstone of any data strategy.
The data models that comprise the ODS are built on a relational architecture with properly
assigned surrogate keys for efficient retrieval and maintenance. They are designed to be
extensible to accommodate company unique data and third party data. This enables a perfect
staging platform for efficient population of
data marts or a
data warehouse, including our own,
using our
ETL,
roadmap, and
implementation services.
This same design enables leads/feeds from core and satellite systems to be rewired through
our ODS and function as a
data integration hub. As a hub, it makes
data conversion much
easier when migrating to a new policy and/or claims system. Also as a hub, it positions the
data nicely for use in a
SOA.
